Do I need to add international calling to my cell phone plan if my girlfriend is going overseas?

We both have AT&T
She will be getting the international calling plan from them since she’s going…but I’m wondering if I need to get it as well to send/receive texts and everything from her without incurring massive overcharges and stuff.
you should just simply talk to AT&T coustermer service.
as long as i know u can recieve text and phone calls. but u can’t call or text out of country. if u did then u will get big chages.
u can go to ur AT&T account and chage ur plan and see what is covered.

i dont think they will charge you because you will still be in the city/state you purchased your phone.
the only way i could see them charging you is if you call her from a number other than her cell phone. i.e. a number in italy from where she will be staying. But all in all i think it would be best if you called at&t and ask, because the last thing you would want to do is chance it and then end up having to paid large amounts of money.
