Is this enough time for an international layover?

I am hoping a frequent international traveler could answer this one. On August 26, 2009, I will be departing from Dayton (DAY) to Amsterdam (AMS). I will be having a 45 minute layover in Detroit. My question is will a 45 minute layover be enough time for me to get to my other flight on time?

Will my luggage make it to the other flight on time? Any assistance would be great!!

    Wow, that’s a close call. I have not had much luck with layovers. I would make a different travel arrangement.
