Should International Political Pickering Stays Out of the Olympiad, August 8-24, 2008, to Be Held in Beijing
October 12th, 2009 | by admin |Games of the Summer Olympiad, will be celebrated from August 8, 2008, to August 24, 2008, with the opening ceremony commencing at 08:08:08 pm CST (12:08:08 UTC) at the Beijing National Stadium in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.[a] Some events will be held outside Beijing, namely football (soccer) (in Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Shenyang and Tianjin), equestrian (in Hong Kong) and sailing (in Qingdao).
Note: 08:08:08 is the lucky number for Chinese and not 07:07:07. Watch out for the Chinese Athletes luck with so many 8s.
I believe something should be done, but not penalizing the athletes that worked so hard to make it to the Olympics. This is not a primary focus of any country at the moment. I feel for the monks. Boycotting or picketing will not solve the problem, although someone should do something. I do not know what.
