What regulations are there for college football conference championships?

October 15th, 2009 | by admin |

How come the SEC, Big 12, and ACC have conference championships yet the Big East, Pac-10 and Big Ten don’t?

The best answer will have to cite NCAA regs if applicable

There is no citing regs about it. The conferences with 12 teams play a championship game. The ones who don’t, don’t. But the Pac-10 plays every team in the conference during the regular season.

the confs with 12 play a title game, the schools with less do not and the pac10 doesnt play every team in conf, but for the regs unable to find, its just the way the confs were set up, but if one does they all should or all shouldnt, that extra game sometimes helps but it also does hurt like this yr lsu will be hurt by it
