I felt compelled to respond here . . . . You’re right that Krav Maga uses a lot of what has been learned from boxing, but wrong that the punches are identical. Because of the lack of gloves, the punches are different. Examples: for straight punches, only the first two knuckles make contact. For hooks, fists are not turned as they are in boxing (with thumbs down), but simply hooked out directly (so thumbs face you). Of course, there are also heel-palm strikes, finger pokes, etc. in Krav.

that’s from …
that’s from krav-maga site, posting an adress on youtube is difficult. It states that from the IKMF site, also imi is really old, he might not get that much reconition before, I meant he was even there to train the palmach for hand to hand combat, which turned into the israeli defense force when they invade israeli, if that isn’t an accomplishment already, he is a lengend to israeli history. You act like the u.s is superior, they didn’t do much at iraq, or the olypics lately, they were superior.

In 1928 Imi won the Slovakian Youth Wrestling Championship, and in 1929 the adult champion- ship (in the light and middle weight division). That year he also won the national boxing championship and an international gymnastics championship. During the ensuing decade, Imi’s athletic activities focused mainly on wrestling, both as a contestant and a trainer. Year after year he won the ……

I meant to ask for an official site or something in which he gets acknowledged as a champion.. I would like to know in which country he was a champion.. because either way, I think that if he really was a champion - he would have gotten alot more recognition for it.

You can look imi up at wiki. It states “As a young man, Imi was a successful boxer and wrestler.[2] Imi competed at National and International levels and was a champion and member of the slovakian National Wrestling Team In the late 1930s, anti-Semitic riots threatened the Jewish population of Bratislava. Together with other Jewish boxers and wrestlers, Lichtenfeld helped to defend his Jewish neighborhood against fascist gangs.

Just as I umed.. …
Just as I umed…all you can do is call people names and not give answers… you requested I speak first? :)) You are the one that stated that KM steals from TKD in your first comment and you request I explain to you that it doesn’t??? :)))) Please…it’s a completely different martial art, if you think otherwise than back your statements with some facts. Yes, you better go train. I hope you are better at that than you are explaining to people the origins of martial arts…. cheers.
