APPLICATION DEADLINE: APPLICATIONS REVIEWED ON ROLLING BASIS
Thanks Lilka! Don’t mind the thumbs down - they are clueless about what’s really important in life.

I’m disappointed to see only one other reply so far. Great list. There are a good number of local scholarship programs and internships here in the SF bay area for students w/ disabilities. IMO, the internet has made it easier for today’s youth to find available opportunities. Here are two of many programs in my neck of the woods that immediately came to mind.

Dancing is not my forte, but I had a ball when I went to adult classes last year. :)

** BORP: Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to improve the health, independence and social integration of people with physical disabilities through sports, fitness and recreation programs. At BORP, we believe that sports and recreation provide a path to greater achievement to which all people should have access, and we continually strive to make this a reality.

** AXIS Dance Company: Master Classes for Adults, Creative Dance Class for Teens with and without disabilities, & Creative Dance Classes for Kids.

Join AXIS for an invigorating series that combines creative movement, improvisation and modern dance to explore the exciting genre of physically integrated dance. The focus is to deepen our capacity for movement invention both in our own unique bodies and in relationship to the bodies around us. For people with and without physical disabilities, no dance experience required.

I’ve worked with them before and they’re great. They do young children up through college age.
