The Importance of Redundancy

If you’ve got a solid message that can be condensed into a single sentence, you’re on top of the situation. If you can’t fit your message into a single sentence, then at least try to put it into a paragraph no more than than three sentences long.

The complete sales page of your website or sales letter should be several pages long. Within your sales letter, you should repeat the main benefit to your customer a number of times, and in different ways. This main benefit is essentially the same thing as your marketing theme.

The more often your reader reads the same point, the higher his level of acceptance will be. He will also develop a more in depth understanding of the idea.

Some copy wirters feel they’re being redundant when then keep repeating the same sentence over and over, but when I look back at the whole of marketing history, it becomes obvious that the sales letters that used a lot of repetition with their strongest points and benefits were the most successful. The use of repetition is truley time tested and totally proven to work.
